An eerie anniversary: tornado sweeps through county - 4:34 pm updated:

The National Weather Service in Wilmington confirmed a tornado touched down northeast of Beavercreek April 3 - on the anniversary of the 1974 F-5 Xenia tornado. NWS confirmed April 4 that the tornado, its rating not yet determined, was responsible for damage in eastern Beavercreek Township and western Xenia Township along Ludlow Road.

MSO celebrates one year of operation -

Cedarville University's Military Service Organization recently celebrated its one-year anniversary of creating connections with veterans, elected officials, and representatives from the Veterans Administration. Professional pharmacy student Ankit Pandav formed MSO in 2017 after seeing a disconnect between veteran students with other students attending college right after high school.

Leah Vance of Bonaparte has been recognized for achieving the dean's honor list for fall semester 2017 at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. Students on the dean's honor list have achieved a 3.75 grade-point average for the semester while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours.
